Join us in the Community Kitchen for a delicious evening with Calcutta native Chef Anjana Mukhopadhyaya. Fresh from her most recent success collaborating with the team at Khana Indian Grill on their wildly successful menu, Anjana’s culinary creations are legend and her enthusiasm contagious!

Chef Anjana will demonstrate the basics of enjoying and preparing traditional Indian street foods with an emphasis on ingredients, spices and technique. After an informative discussion on the street foods of India, Chef Anjana will prepare authentic and delicious Indian street foods including Pav Bhaji, a spicy curry of mixed vegetables cooked in a special blend of spices and served with soft buttered Pav buns, Chicken Shami Kebabs made with aromatic whole spices, fresh mint and chickpea lentil served with a spicy cilantro mint chutney, Vegetable Pakoras and Jalebis served in a cardamom scented sugar syrup.

Recipe booklets will be provided to each participant. This class is recommended for beginners and culinary connoisseurs alike. After the meal is prepared we will sit together to enjoy our makings and company together. So bring your enthusiasm and appetite for an afternoon of fun.
