Introduction to Sri Lankan Cuisine

Join us for an afternoon of culinary adventure with Chef Palika Morse as we explore the subtleties of authentic Sir Lankan cooking. University of Arkansas researcher and Food Scientist Palika Morse originally hails from Sri Lanka and now calls Northwest Arkansas home. Anyone who has ever sampled her wonderful cooking is introduced to a world of exotic, spicy, layered flavors that delight the senses!

A two hour cooking demonstration in the Community Kitchen will be followed by a full course Sri Lankan dinner in the gallery. Spicy chicken curry, intricate rice dishes, flavorful vegetable dishes, Sri Lankan Cucumber Salad, exotic fruit salads and more are on the menu as we explore a cuisine shaped by Indonesian, Dutch and Southeast Asian influences.

Tickets are $30 per person and includes dinner. Class is limited to 20 participants.

Tickets are non-refundable. (In the event that you are unable to use your ticket we will make every effort to resell your ticket and refund your money, but if we can’t find someone to purchase the seat, there will be no refund.)
