Join the folks from Olive Loom for a introduction to sewing fundamentals as we make a one of a kind, stunning jacket incorporating your favorite colors from a sweat shirt and your favorite fabric stash. Great to wear to the office, a night out on the town over jeans or a day at the lake. We’ll start with some sewing fundamentals incorporating how to perfectly layer multiple colors and techniques and end with a boutique chic spring jacket, a $120 value.
10am-noon Level one – Introduction to sewing machine basics, fabric cutting using a rotary cutter and sweatshirt fabric preparation
noon-1pm Lunch on your own. Brown bag it or head on over to Grandma’s House Cafe for some down home Southern Cooking
1pm-3pm Level two – Jacket construction, stabilizing knit fabrics for sewing piecing of the fabric band and introduction to using a serger
Maximum class size is 15 persons. Class cost $35 per person
